At Concrete Rose Affect, I believe every young person has the capacity to grow, thrive, and bloom; even in the hardest places.
My work as an Adolescent Coach and Educational Consultant is rooted in one simple philosophy: no one grows alone. Just as a rose pushing through concrete needs nourishment, support, and the right conditions to flourish, adolescents need trusted relationships, guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to discover who they are and who they can become.
I help young people navigate adolescence, understand their strengths, build confidence, develop self-awareness, and move toward their goals while helping schools, educators, and families create environments where young people can truly thrive.

The Story Behind the Rose
I spent 14 years working inside the education system as a school social worker, and I loved it. I loved showing up for young people, watching them find their footing, and being part of the network of adults who helped them get there. But over time, I started to feel the limits of the system itself.
Schools are built to move fast; policies, paperwork, caseloads, and red tape often left little room for the kind of deep, individualized support young people actually need. I watched a system that talks about “community” but is often structured around one narrow network. One school, one team, one set of resources, while pushing students toward independence before they’ve had the chance to build the foundation to get there. I saw firsthand how a young person’s growth can stall not because they lack potential, but because the conditions around them are too rigid, too thin, or too focused on individual achievement over collective support.
That’s where Concrete Rose Affect was born. I wanted to build something outside those constraints; a space rooted in my core belief that no one grows alone. Not one school. Not one program. Not one advisor. Real growth happens when young people are surrounded by a wider web of support: coaches, mentors, families, educators, and communities working together, not in isolation.
Concrete Rose Affect is my way of doing the work I always loved, without the walls that once held it back.
